History
Inception
Late Mrs. Prabhavati Vishnu Deshpande & Late Mr. Vishnu Shankar Deshpande started their career as a LIC Agent. After few years they started with Postal small savings schemes. They then started independent financial consulting together in the times when people were not really thorough about the kind pf investments to be done. Popularly called "Bachatwale (बाचतवाले) Deshpande" in his times which literally means a person who guides/knows a lot about savings & investments.
Expansion
Son Mr. Purushottam V. Deshpande and daughter Mrs. Jyotsna R. Ropalekar joined the team. They helped grow the business by adding multiple services to the existing business.
The better half joins
Mrs. Sadhana P. Deshpande (wife of Mr. Purushottam Deshpande) roped herself in to keep up with the increasing demand. This demand forayed them into new investment avenue with Unit Trust of India.
Mutual Funds
We entered the then upcoming industry of Mutual Funds, which now, is one of the most popular investment avenues.
Passing the Baton
Mrs. Prabhavati Vishnu Deshpande & Mr. Vishnu Shankar Deshpande retire and pass the baton due to their old age.
Stepping up the game
SEBI, the regulatory body announced new regulations for registrations with AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India). We did it in 2003 to explore more ground.
Entering Heart of the City
The office, where we currently work at was bought and all operations started running from the city center. It was critical to be centrally located for the business demands best service.
This year unfornutely also marked the end of the journey for one of our visionaries, Mrs. Prabhavati V. Deshpande.
The Legacy Continues
The young mind of Mr. Darshan R. Ropalekar (son of Mrs. Jyotsna R. Ropalekar) came in to join hands with Mr. Deshpande as a Authorised Person for ICICI Securities Ltd.
End of an Era
Mr. Vishnu Shankar Deshpande, the legend, expired and thus marked the end of an era.
Futher Expansion
A new branch is innaugrated in order to provide service to people all around the city. Bibvewadi, the Hotspot is chosen as the area.
This is the year when we also embraced technology to the fullest by going digital (almost completely).
